TRANSFORMATIONAL WOMEN’S RETREAT
OCTOBER 11-14-2024
Sometimes we need to gather with our sisters.
When we allow our stories to flow through us within the container of the gentle, nourishing feminine energy, held by mother nature, magical things happen.
We share, we release, and we heal ourselves and each other in the transformational medicine space.
FLOW OF THE WEEKEND
Friday: Arrival
We arrive at our beautiful home away from home in the early afternoon and get settled in. Let’s land together and set the stage for our shared experience. We gather in circle around the fire to open the safe container for the weekend with breath work and each share a brief summary of our journey up to now and set our intentions for the weekend. We can discuss some grounding resources, talk about the medicine and what to expect. We share a delicious dinner and get to know one another.
Saturday: Group Medicine Journey
This healing weekend is about the Sacred Ceremony with transformational medicine. Our hearts will be open, connected to each other, and connected to all life. The intense love and compassionate atmosphere of the day, will allow you to turn this healing energy inwards. We witness, and are witnessed by, our sisters in a safe space where we can transform old limiting beliefs and get new more aligned insights. We can explore our blocks to giving and receiving love. Often fear blocks us from seeing our truth; in the sacred medicine space, it dissipates, allowing us to feel and see more clearly. Being witnessed by your sisters in community is the true medicine. This brave work that can have a profound impact on your life.
Sunday: Integration
The integration of our medicine experience is of vital importance. There is a two week window of metaplasticity, where when we make sense of our experience: mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, we then can take action and make intentional lasting changes.
We tap into self energy with our breath, take a cold plunge into the lake and share what has come up for us. Hearing our own story being witnessed, with the trust and courage to share these parts of us, is what helps us make sense of and grow from the experience. Sunday is all about rest, connection, self reflection, and contemplation in nature.
Monday: Closing Circle
This last day together is all about allowing the powerful energy of gratitude to flow through us. Thanking ourselves for showing up, thankful for the experiences we shared and being present with each other. We close the container of ceremony around the fire. Renewed in our strength as women, understanding that we are the medicine and everything we need is already within us. We have honed our skills to connect with our sacred feminine energy. This is the beginning of your journey.

WHO ARE WE?
DANYELLE, born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, developed an early calling to explore the world, living and studying across Europe, Southeast Asia, and North & Central America.
As a certified trauma-informed Relationship Coach and Somatic Psychedelic Facilitator, Danyelle passionately guides people through healing and personal growth. Her unique intuitive approach creates safe spaces for exploring one’s inner experiences, fostering authentic connections, and promoting self-empowerment. While this work can be heavy and intense, Danyelle is known for bringing a sense of levity and play to lighten the journey.
By using somatic awareness practices, she helps people access their subconscious material residing in their bodies, such as tension, trauma, and unresolved emotions. The focus is on our inner intelligence (Our wise Self) which enables us to tap into our innate wisdom and navigate multiple dimensions of our experience during sessions. This approach emphasizes the interconnectedness of mind, body, emotion and spirit. By utilizing the body as a conduit for deeper self-awareness and integration, it empowers us to live authentically and embrace the richness of our inner selves. Thus, we embark on a journey toward greater wholeness and alignment in our lives.
Danyelle has dedicated her life to learning various healing modalities and tools, including Vagus Nerve exercises, Somatic Exercises, Relational Mastery, Conflict Repair, Attachment Theory, and Internal Family System, to expand consciousness, strengthen inner peace, and create better connections with self and others.
Danyelle believes in the transformative power of women coming together in a “sisterhood of healing,” encouraging them to transcend fear and embrace their authentic selves. In her work she is actively assisting women to embrace self-acceptance, feel a profound sense of belonging, and confidently stand in their power.

NICI. Like most of us, she found herself sitting and staring at a computer screen too much. She had very little insight into her body, her inner life, and how those were connected.
Her journey to heal her body led her to the ancient practice of yoga. She tried many different things, saw all sorts of specialists and experts, but it was yoga that finally provided some relief and made her feel like she was taking charge of her health and recovery.
She practiced on her own for a long time before finding a home at The House of Yoga (HOYO) in Toronto in 2014, the only Ganja yoga studio in the city. Classes were hours long, with Friday night’s cannabis-assisted class going on for five hours. The focus wasn’t just on postures but also on breathwork and meditation. The space was beautiful, as were the people in the community. She practiced, studied, and taught at HOYO until its closing in 2018. During this time, she had the chance to experiment and explore a variety of plant medicines combined with her practice and ceremony. She also learned the invaluable, healing touch skill of Thai Yoga massage. As her body became stronger, so did her mind. She became less anxious, more confident, calm, and simply able to be herself. Her asthma, which had plagued her for a lifetime, disappeared, and she no longer needed an inhaler.
She is also a trained social worker, having taken the academic route from 2012-2017. Her motivation has always been to work with people in a loving, genuine, and helpful manner. However, she was often put off, disappointed, and shocked by the coercion, medicalization, bureaucracy, and focus on pathology in this field. She often felt like she was doing more harm than good. Despite this, she did a lot of work with community organizations that are invaluable to those who are struggling and met some amazing helpers, healers, and mentors along the way.
In 2019, she gave birth to her daughter, an experience that was the hardest thing she had ever done. She had learned about the Wim Hof method through her yoga training but could never imagine herself in the cold. Like most, she had been conditioned since childhood to believe that the cold was bad, dangerous, and would make her sick. However, after birthing for 12 hours in a tub in her living room, she figured she could handle a cold shower—and she was right!
Once she started going into the cold, she was hooked. She loved the energy and invigorating feelings it brought, and after a few months of daily cold showers and breathwork, she started to notice a whole array of unexpected side effects, like perfect hair and skin and a newfound inner strength and calm.
After the House of Yoga closed, she deeply missed her practice community, and being a new mom was often a lonely experience. She joined the Wim Hof Toronto group on Facebook and soon discovered Steve’s weekly meetup group down at the lake. She joined for the first time in December 2020 and knew right away she had found her people. Practicing outdoors and in natural waters added a new spiritual dimension.
Completely unexpectedly, she met the most amazing man and the love of her life. She and Steve connected intimately through their shared interests: body, heart, mind, and spirit work, their love for nature, for learning and teaching, and for adventure and exploration. And now, they are on the greatest adventure of all: love.
